What is Police Pursuit (Skye’s Law)?

This offence was introduced in NSW following the tragic death of Skye Sassine, is found in Section 51 B of the Crimes Act 1900 unlike most other offences which are contained in the Road Transport Act 2013.  

Police Pursuits can be prosecuted in both the Local and Higher Court depending on the specific circumstances of the offending conduct.
