What is Drink Driving?

Negligent driving is an offence in NSW and is contained in S117 of the Road transport Act 2013; Dangerous Diving is an offence in NSW and is contained in Section 52A Crimes ACT 1900 (NSW).

Negligent Driving has varying penalties depending on whether: Death, Grevious Bodily Harm or neither occurred.

Dangerous Driving similarly has varying penalties depending on whether: Death or Grevious Bodily Harm occurred, however there is also aggravated version of each offence if the offender at the time of committing the offence did so in circumstances of aggravation.

Both offences are serious and if guilty of the offence can lead to full time imprisonment amongst other penalties.
